HEPA Filter Leak Testing (IEST-RP-CC034 Photometry)

Owings Mills, MD USA
Dates: May 14 | Nov. TBD
Duration: 1-day
All clean air and containment industries require testing of HEPA filter systems that protect people, products, and the environment. It is critical that HEPA filter leak testing is conducted properly.
The Recommended Practice (RP), IEST-RP-CC034, defines procedures for leak-testing HEPA and ULPA filters during production, pre-installation, and post-installation in cleanrooms and unidirectional-flow devices. Although HEPA filter leak testing seems simple on paper, there are practical considerations to ensure valid test results.
ATI offers a 1-day course on testing installed HEPA filters, delivered by experienced trainers in this industry, covering the most current equipment, practical tips and pitfalls during testing, and the latest best practices.
The course consists of both the theoretical foundation and hands-on practice of HEPA filter leak testing. The theory session provides delegates with knowledge on what to test, what to test it with, when to test it, and how to test it. The practical session gives delegates confidence to set up test equipment, connect to an installed HEPA filter system, carry out a test, detect the leaks we created in test filters, and patch a leak. The course concludes with a written examination.
Who should attend?
Attendance is advised for anyone in the clean air and containment industry who has a role in engineering, testing, quality assurance, validation, operations, management, inspections, or anyone responsible for the performance of clean air facilities and equipment.
